This is because the wool used to make the hat is a south-western material, hypoallergenic and absorbs moisture excellently, therefore the skin stays dry.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Convenient because the hat is light and doesn't feel on your head at all, the wind doesn't get through. It can be worn safely in rain and snow, is flexible and keeps its shape well.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">It's a worthwhile investment because a well felted blanket repels dirt, your hat won't get dirty for years and you won't have to spend extra money on dry cleaning.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Beautiful because felt is such a stunning material that it can be used to create the most unique and unexpected shapes.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Multipurpose, because you can use it not only in the cold season, but also in summer or even in the sauna.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I work with different types of sheep and other animal fur (such as dog, cat, rabbit and alpaca fur). It retains heat very well.<\/li>\n<li>Mankind has been making woollen clothing for thousands of years. Even these days, with the advent of many synthetic materials, it is a very viable material.<\/li>\n<li>Merino wool is one of the few natural materials whose properties scientists are still unable to replicate with synthetic analogues.<\/li>\n<li>The sheep are sheared twice a year. Each sheep yields between 5 and 18 kg of wool per year, depending on the breed.<\/li>\n<li>10 kilos of sheep's wool will yield a length of yarn of around 6,000 kilometres.<\/li>\n<li>The thickness of sheep hair ranges from 14 to 31 microns. In comparison, human hair is 80-120 microns thick.<\/li>\n<li>Sheep's wool is fire-resistant. That's why merino wool is part of professional fire-resistant clothing. Such textiles are useful for indoor use.<\/li>\n<li>Felt is considered to be the oldest type of wool product.
