I often hear from felters that they find it difficult to add small details to their work. This problem occurs in both felt drawing and 3D felting. Practice certainly helps, but the quality of the felting needle also plays a huge role in the final result.<\/p>\n
If you use a thick needle and try to make perfect little details with it, it won't work - even for me. A thick needle won't go deep enough into the felt, and forcing it will only ruin the finish.<\/p>\n
